Not everything in the Bible is literally. Some are metaphorical & some is also limited to then present day understanding of sciences, including astronomy, & human understanding.

Your inability to conceive that the firmament concept isn't possible in whatever way God created, whic certainly could be beyond human understanding, makes your assertion of claim about it a bunch of nonsense!
