Sheriff Joe is very popular with the anti-immigration folks in Arizona. Trump is simply doing something for them. The folks who are upset are either (1) like you in they will never vote for Trump or (2) Republicans who no matter how much they dislike Trump, will hold their noses and vote for him rather than any Democrat.
