Is that Mizzou is committed to college basketball, which was in questions with the last two coaches. Gates has a unique ability to find unearthed diamonds in the portal.

Probably this is his strongest asset.

You have to believe combining high end freshmen with the portal finds he will add, will result in a top team in the SEC, playing deeper into the tournamnet.

After all, if that recipe doesn't work, what will?
