going to a 9-game conf schedule. That actually loses money.
By doing this, they have a deal with espn that the per game rate will go up because, in theory, the average “quality” of the games goes up and will offset the reduction in overall inventory.

It could happen but I don’t expect a 13-game schedule unless it is a full slate of “consolation” matchups on championship weekend. So that everybody gets 13 & not just the title game participants.
