This is already the case and would have still been true had they kept it at 8 games.

The difference is now teams will have a group of three teams they play every year rather than just one. I'm very curious what those four-team pods will look like:

I'm assuming that Oklahoma and Texas will play each other, as will A&M and Texas. Will Mizzou be included in that pod? If so, then Arky will no longer be on the schedule for Mizzou every year. It's possible that Arkansas will end up in the pod with OU and the Texas teams, leaving Mizzou to maybe go join a pod with Kentucky, Vandy... Who knows.
