nuclear arms deal, or enough to get the ball rolling on having one relatively soon, which is a very big deal in and of itself.

They will also come to a better understanding of each other's perspective and views, and hopefully can move towards a more cooperative spirit between our two countries, rather than ratcheting up the hostilities ever higher.

They could probably set a solid framework upon which they reach an agreement acceptable to both Russia & the US... Something that they can present to all of the parties to the conflict... Something where they can invite others to the table to talk. Unfortunately, the UK in particular talked Ukraine out of a peace agreement they had tentatively worked out with Russia thousands of lives ago. That is very unfortunate, because now Ukraine is in much worse shape and will likely lose more land because of it.
