e 15% better I use them. If not, I go with each hotel's app which give me points.
Almost always it is about 10 stays for a free night stay. So if the discount sites are 15% cheaper then they are the better deal.
Exception would be if you need to keep at a certain level for certain privledges.
I use Marriot, Hilton and IHG depending on my work travel so I am like gold for each but not Platinum Elite or whatever their highest is. What bugs me is that if I use one a lot but also use my points it lowers my status. It is like they want to give you points but don't want you to use them
