I pretty much stat with the Marriott family. but I am one that stays 50-80 nights a year as well. when for work, I just make sure it is competitive with other similar chains. I am in one meeting I had to go with Holiday Inn because the rates were about $50/night different.

A lot of that is also the rewards side, free breakfast, higher speed internet, room upgrades, and later checkout.
