in theory now everyone has a shot, however slim. What he wants to do is cut it down to like a 35 team league and leave out Colorado, Arizona State, BYU, Clemson, Kansas, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Oregon State, Stanford etc.

It's wacky. Sports is the one industry where you want competitors to survive and even thrive. You don't want to drive everyone out of business because of some juvenile pettiness.
