How does one determine "success" in a trade deal

The only way I would determine success is if net tariffs are lower on the other side than they were when he took office.

He generally failed at that in term 1.

His deal with UK is kinda mixed.

Up until Trump 1, the general movement of US administrations were great, as they were reducing tariffs acros the board. Starting with Trumps withdraw from the TPP, it has dont to hell in the last 10 years.

This worry over the trade deficit and anti-China is dumb and retarded all in one.
