brimstone burn in hell depraved person?

How can a Christian not be a hopeful universalist where God has complete and total victory over sin and evil? How can someone be claiming to be a Christian cheer for only a partial victory where the majority spend eternity being tormented in hell?

“My parents, my wife and my kids may be tormented for all eternity, but I am going to have eternal bliss.” How can someone even think that is possible when they were commanded to love others as themselves? How can such a person be happy knowing there are those who are being tormented without end? Or do you want God to be a great deceiver and wipe from your memory that those people existed, just so you can be happy?
