Back during the early Pinkel era a player from East St. Louis (FBP-1) got a ride home with another St. Louis area player (FBP-2). 1 told 2 that when they got to 1's house and he got out of the car that 2 should take off immediately and to not stop his car for any reason until he was out of EStL. Just as soon as 1 got out of the car and 2 was putting his car back into gear he heard a tap on the driver side window. 2 looked over his left shoulder and a hood native was holding a handgun and motioning for 2 to get out of his car. 2 hit the gas and sped away safely.
