and put that money into Universities through the student loan program. No one shows them the ramifications of those loans.

Then on the research side, that federal money is bloated through ridiculous overhead programs, and that money goes more to the administration versus the actual researcher.

The last part is the Senators come in and help "pay" to build these huge buildings, but then give nothing to maintain them.

They then do much of their research by paying grad students a poverty level salary to get the work done.

It is a horrible system, to which very few are actually accountable to results.
