California needs are staggering. The size and scope of the disaster is staggering. Moreover, the fires are still ongoing and are very costly in terms of property loss and loss of life and the attendant disruption of lives in the forest / urban interface.
Some of the most beautiful cities and areas in the country are literally burning to the ground.
