Shouldn't the goal of a debate to put forth the problems and how you will solve them (if you believe that is what gov't should to) rather than try to figure out how to manipulate the public?

In that regards, Trump is just like Clinton, he chases policies and tries to be a champion of them. Gives perceptions, but nothing will actually be solved.
