Trump does a good job of both getting the issues he wants to get the attention of, and at least claiming he has a solution for them.

The problem is that government really does not really solve any problems. They might do some temporary solving, but mostly other problems pop up, or they just kick the can down. Whenever you suppress freedom, people and the market figure things out.
