It is like anything that changes over time - The ancient Egyptians had tens of thousands of slaves. Now things are different in that country a couple thousand years later. Should modern Egyptians, living off the tourist industry, give all that money to the descendants of these people if they can find them? The average fan can’t do anything. They have their own lives to live. What you’re talking about is that somebody who watched a couple of Missouri games in the 70s should wake up tomorrow give all their worldly goods away and live in sackcloth and homeless for the remainder of their lives. Or someone who watched a couple of movies where some indigenous people were filmed for free or a couple of extras were underpaid should get on their knees and beg for forgiveness. You are completely whacked out over this. Most people couldn’t care less. They can live without it or live with it one way or the other that’s what you don’t get. It’s like a restaurant that closes where the employees were underpaid. People just move on.
