1st time was at the old St Louis Arena. December 1973. #1 UCLA vs #2 NC State & Skywalker David Thompson.

The Walton gang got the best of that match up. N C State would get their revenge at the Final 4 in Greensboro 3 months later.

And then in March of 1986, was in the old Boston Garden (sitting right next to the organist) & saw Walton, Larry Bird & co take apart Jon Sunvold and San Antonio

Watching Walton and Bird pass the ball on a give and go was worth the price of admission. Celtics won the NBA title that year.
