And MU would have self-reported it, leading to sanctions, Self getting booted, etc. It might have worked well for a few years but no way would he have skated by with all the dubious recruiting deals and player paying he did for years before NIL.

Kansas administration and media really have protected Self over the years, allowing him to cheat and prosper.
