Industry has been using taxpayer money for boosts for decades now. Some of it has worked well, some of it has failed miserable.

Not saying that I agree with it (I don't), but that is the reality of most of our big businesses.

Then the problem is they don't set their companies up when they do succeed and they ask for a bailout when they have problems. See the airlines during COVID.

We have set up a system where essentially so many businesses are "de-risked" by the taxpayers
