schedule. Teams he lost to went to the Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, Sun and Peach bowls with the only blowout being to Nebraska. Lost by 3 at OU (Orange bowl), by 4 to OSU (Sun Bowl), 3 points to Indiana (Peach bowl). His last year, 1988 was also a pretty brutal schedule, in addition to playing #1 ranked Miami in OOC, he also lost to Houston and tied Indiana who would both end the season ranked. I always wonder if our more recent coaches would have fared any better against the teams he had to play or how he would have done if he had the schedules Alden gave Pinkel.
