Harrison pitched in 14 inn in the SEC and gave up 14 runs. That doesn't seem to match up with the coddling statement. She pitched in 7 games and also in the final game against Cal where she gave up 2 runs in 1.2 innings.
Hope Anderson is right and we just haven't seen the best, but that was a gatorade player of the year in her freshmen season. It is tougher than most would think coming from HS/Travel ball to facing some of the toughest competition in the US every weekend, very few can make that jump.
Hope Krings is able to pitch 75% of the innings this year or we need the bats to take a big jump up to keep up with the scoring.
