Oklahoma feel the need to leave the Big XII? The answer is simple: those universities left for a more stable and profitable conference.
Texas and Oklahoma recognized that in the inexorable march to Super conferences their futures lay elsewhere than the Big XII.
You can not blame Greg Sankey or the SEC for the failure of leadership of the Big XII.
You are just frustrated that Kansas State wasn’t afforded the same opportunity to leave as Texas and Oklahoma.
The truth is Kansas State in terms of wealth, prestige and brand recognition relative to Texas and Oklahoma are not even close.
The exodus from the Big XII started with Nebraska, then Colorado, then Texas A&M and then Missouri.
The ever shifting circumstances of college football forced Texas and Oklahoma to evaluate their futures and they determined it was not in the Big XII.
