the b12 morphed into this due to greg sankey raiding the conference for no good reason other than pure hubris. it wasn't like y'all needed texas and their lacky. but he set the ball in motion for the b10 to react with usc/ucla, and eventually together they bought a p12 tombstone for the rest.

sankey was the classic despot though, wasn't he. he did it because he could, not because it was thoughtful or wise. it was like moving tanks into austria, some howled (aTm), no one resisted. the media in fact colluded. told us how great this leadership. what?

how this ends no one knows. but college sports is not better for it.
