with "no divisions" you will have all the powerhouses every year you are competing against. Even if the runners up have another loss or two than you because they played the top two finishers say, and you didn't because of scheduling, the Committee is still "picking the teams." They can easily pick a team over you because you played Vanderbilt and say, LSU did not but had to play Bama, Tennessee and Georgia and somehow you did not.
