for senate races within states: It doesn't necessarily work out in the conservatives favor. Jackson County almost always goes democratic. In a winner take all scenario, all the republican votes from Lees Summit and Blue Springs would be essentially wiped out. You could combine several Missouri counties together and they would not have the republican votes Jackson County has. That's a lot of republican votes that would not count. So be careful what you wish for.
