You're naive if you think they would actually prosecute/convict him.

It's like the abortion issue. They've had countless opportunities to codify Roe at the federal level, but it's just too useful to campaign and fundraise on... so they never will.

Also, the GOP would be retarded to go after Trump in that way... because he would go scorched earth on the party and sabotage their chances in '24.
