Remember the primary debate when the mods asked the candidates if they all vowed to support the nominee and *not* run as an independent if they lost the primary?... Trump was the only one who didn't make the pledge. He was boo'ed for it, and just shrugged his shoulders.
He's tough as nails, doesn't care what anything thinks about him. That can be a good thing, or a very very bad thing.
