professors that were. That had zero impact on my education. I had no interest in 'connecting' with my teachers all I cared about is their ability to teach me what they knew.

IMO many college professors were fruit loops and I did not want to know them or them to know me. If they did not know me then I did not have to worry about prejudices affecting my grades one way or the other.
