The color of the teacher or the kid sitting next to me has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of my education.
How many non-white teachers did you have?
Do you think that people of the same color might relate to each other a bit better, and that could affect some outcomes?
we see just on this board every day what people think of black people when they first see them? Do you not think that affects the ability to connect with them?
Should appearance matter..not at all, but only an idiot believes that to be true.
What comments do you hear when a person has a neck tatoo or is full of piercings, regardless of color.
and there are differences in access to education, especially higher ed from a funding standpoint.
I do not agree with everything the article said, but it is not simple on either side.
