Diversity of opinion - Strength

Diversity of approach - Strength

Diversity of thought - Strength

Diversity of appearance - Meaningless

Which of these above aspects of diversity is the focus of the left?

Is there really a problem with access to education?

When I worked in the KCSD in the 90's and early 00's our per pupil funding was three times the state average, the facilities were the best in the state and teacher pay was among the best in the metro area. With all of that test scores were abysmal and never budged. Was the problem access to a quality education or that the community being served chose not to value that education?

The color of the teacher or the kid sitting next to me has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of my education. Quality teachers, good facilities and the buy-in of me and my community are the things that actually matter.
