I don't know that you can compare their situations. Pinkel came in and discovered an alarming talent deficiency. He knew how to build a program and did a good job of it. Remember, he took us to the SEC CG in 13 and 14. 2015 was expected to be a step back and the situation with Mauk, then the racial crap severely complicated and nearly destroyed the program that season. We were 3-0 going in to the Kentucky game and Mauk's off the field problems imploded the offense. The racial crap hit the team after the SC victory and it was mostly downhill after that.

Odom had far more talent at his disposal and Drinkwitz a bit less than that.
