Mizzou should fundamentally be an 8-win program in the SEC as things currently stand. Yeah, we'll slip and win 6 or 7 once or twice a decade, but we should also pull out 9 or 10 some times. Once a decade...will 11....maybe???
Average BCS team regular season wins is 6.72.
Winning 8 games puts you in the top 38%
In any give decade, Mizzou should:
Win 8 games 6-7 times.
Win 6-7 games 1-2 times.
Win 9+ games 1-2 times.
That is a VERY reasonable expectation on a yearly basis.
These guys need to win 7 this year and should have every chance to win 8. Hell, we were 2 punts away from 8 wins last year.
