I'm not as concerned about the record, it depends how the season goes. Before I start worrying about the record, I want to start seeing some good football. It's been awhile since I've seen even decent football at Mizzou.
People don't talk enough about the 1996 team. That team didn't get over the hump, but you could tell they were really developing into a respectable team. They laid the foundation of the bowl runs in 97-98.
Then Brad Smith did his thing and put the whole team on his shoulders for 4 years and laid the foundation for the success that happened in 2007 and after.
There's no foundation of anything right now, not that we've seen on the field at least. 8-4, 4-8, it's all meaningless unless you're in a position to compete for a championship, and we're nowhere close to that right now. So I just want to see Mizzou start playing better football for now. The wins will come if they do that. Then, and only then, will I start worry about wins and losses.
