This means that other programs will structure NIL deals to recognize the potential of the player and any deal that does not do that is probably not going to be a winner.

So some gambling must go on in order to land certain players.

In terms of wider NIL collective functioning, a formula converting performance to 'fame' and valuing that fame is welcome and probably will be a feature of the most successful collectives.
