destroying the bowl system and expanding the season and the playoffs for years. They never should’ve added the 12th game and they never should’ve added conference championship games. Just like they shouldn’t expand the playoffs or eve have them. The concept of the 10 or 11 game season and then a 6 to 7 week break until your bowl game was because they were student athletes and you didn’t want them playing through Christmas and through their final exams. And they were college kids so you didn’t want them playing extended playoffs. There was just the one bowl game for each school. If they had come out with a fair stipend years ago on top of all the other perks and stuck with that system they wouldn’t be having these problems now and like I said it would still be a great game. because those were the glory days in my opinion not what’s been going on the last 20-25 years or especially the last seven or eight years
