Softball Seeding & Hosting A Regional

Here is a list of teams in the last 10 NCAA softball tournaments who hosted a Regional with an RPI below #16. The first number is their seed # and the second number is their RPI #.
2021-Kentucky 14(seed) - 18(RPI)
2019-Ole Miss 11-18
2018-Arkansas 13-17
2017-Utah 11-19, Ole Miss 12-18, Kentucky 14-17
2016-Georgia 16-19
2015-Georgia 14-17, Notre Dame 16-19
2014-None
2013-None
2012-Washington 16-18
2011-Stanford-15-19
So in the last six tourney, seven of the nine teams who got a top #16 seed but whose RPI was less than #16 were from the SEC! Bodes well for us tomorrow.
