benefit overall...for how long?

Talented players with good press coverage at Georgia & Alabama etc. will be less content to wait their turn on the bench. They also would see new players coming onto their team at unconventional times and feel less loyalty to their original team.

So it mirrors today's workforce. Unlike the workforce of the past, get a stable job with a loyal company & eventually retire from there.
