Arizona State Dead Period Violations

The NCAA ordered a dead period for recruiting for several months during 2021 due to Covid. On campus visits by recruits were prohibited during the dead period.

ASU's coaching staff set up visits to take place during the dead period. Some recruits actually visited ASU and met with coaches.

ASU coaching contracts have clauses in which the coach agrees to not violate NCAA rules.

There's some indication that not all of the coaches were aware of the dead period at the time they met with recruits.

This situation has apparently been known to the ASU Administration for some time.
