like, not nearly as good as Charlie Gitto’s, because it was started by Charlie Gitto. Leaving it up to hicks to try & replicate is the downfall.
Some of the recipes got kc’d or something because, like literally all Italian in kc, it ain’t good & certainly can’t remotely even be mentioned in the same sentence as famous St. Louis Italian- arguably the best in the country!
kc is the only place that I qualifies as even a small town, which it is, that has absolutely zero Italian to speak of & Lidia’s, or whatever the name of that craphole is, was the biggest joke of a mess of garbage pathetically called Italian or food, for that matter, that I ever have been served anywhere - one bite & told them to take my plate.
