attest to that being the case, it was widely acknowledged and obvious in watching any of our games that season. Nestor did 80% of the talking in every timeout, and then when he was finished Haith would walk up and say some words of encouragement. It isn't difficult to isolate that all the specific aspects of his unusual role is exactly what MU improved exponentially in from 2010-11 to 2011-12, and then completely fell apart in 2012-13 and going forward.
Regardless of what % you allocate to his impact, its impossible to say it as 0%. And we got bad at all the things he was helping with immediately after he departed, which is what had basically led to our surprising success. It was self inflicted and short sighted, because we replaced him with Dave Leitao under the premise all assistants need to recruit, and Leitao brought in Keanau Post only in his time at MU.
