A majority of the fanbase lives two hours away. So you are not asking for a 4 hour commitment like the local teams in KC and STL, it takes 8-10 when you include travel and meal Time.

As much as the beakers suck the reason the always fill that dumpster of a feildhouse for basketball is that it is a twenty minute drive from Johnson county and about 75% of their fanbase.

We cannot overcome the travel problem so it must be overcome by offering quality entertainment.

Another thing that hurts is casual football fans are focused on the Chiefs, when Pinkle had the team winning both the Rams and Chiefs were mediocre so casual fans in the state were focused on Mizzou.
