rarely have players that are high-profile enough to benefit a business.

On the other hand, if a business owner WANTS to pay a certain player, nothing wrong with installing them as part of a local ad.

But yeah, the lion share of this money is TSF type money - it's direct support from boosters funneled into merch purchases.
