have to extend your defense. That spreads the court, encourages mid-range and longer shots and does not pack all of your defenders in a ten foot circle.

A teams offensive and defensive philosophies have to be compatible. If CM wants his team to get up and down the court, which I will believe when I see, he has to have a defense that creates those opertunities.
