If you break it down more Mizzou’s defensive efficiency was below 150 in those games. Offensive efficiency was still top 55 in those losses.
Mizzou couldn’t get stops, and couldn’t rebound. Which meant that Mizzou couldn’t run. The team was better when they were in a tempo game.
A lot of the rebounding issues were the result of a change in how Mark Smith was used. He was one of the better rebounding guards his first 2 seasons in the SEC. that changed last year, not because he couldn’t rebound but because he was tasked with getting out in transition.
