Their first NCAA tourney appearance in like 40 years.
That doesn't mean it's easier to win there, it means they caught lightning in a bottle. It's frankly unbelievable that MU hasn't yet, given how many NCAA tourney appearances we have (many of which were 4 seeds or better).
Look at MSU's entire program resume. Look at how many times they've been to the NCAA tournament.
