in some ways in America is limited. Take the Oscars. Should half the awards go to blacks? Not by the numbers. America remains a largely white Christian and English speaking country. It follows that many of the movies will not only be acted by white actors, but directed by white directors and produced by white producers for a white audience. That's just simple market forces.
But now it seems that people are being guilted to give awards, for, let's just say it, less than Oscar worthy movies and performances. I'm not sure why blacks would want an award given as a required token.
