I work in a highly conservative industry. I also work in a group where we all have an MS or Phd (science/engineering). I'd say the people in my industry at large are overwhelmingly conservative. Yet the individuals in my group and those with advanced degrees overall are far more liberal. Not necessarily democrats but certainly independents and generally not fond of Trump. There are reasons for that.

The engineers w/advanced degrees tend to be more conservative than the pure sciences but still overall more liberal than the rest of our workforce.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
