Not sure I can answer that clearly, as my education is more in the sciences than it is in the philosophy or economics realm, or politics (maybe that is a good thing).
I have always believed there are multiple ways to solve a problem....and science does a great job of determining all those paths. As you look at free market vs government, one allows for multiple paths, and the other does not (especially as the central authority gets stronger and stronger and bigger).
I think it was more of how leftism changed than it was education per se, but also some people on here to give me different perspectives...and education may have helped me gain further insight how to compare those perspectives.
Many educated people think their education makes them the authority versus I look at education helps me to ask more questions and try to find more solutions....and not cling to what I think was the truth 10 years ago when presented with new evidence.
Not sure if my ramblings above answer your question or not....other than I am a bit more naturally inquisitive.
