I think you're ignoring just how bad the program was when CM took over. One of the worst programs in the country. And in year 1, CM made the tourney.

Brad Underwood, thought of so highly around here, took over an 18-win Illinois team and won 14 and 12 in his first two years.

I think that's coaching.
